For sale is my 1971 Chevelle Malibu with SS trim. The car was originally a Chevelle Malibu with a 350/350 with A/C, the only thing missing to get the A/C working again is the compressor. This is an older restoration (2006) but still in good condition. It is always garage kept with a cover on it year round. I bought the car in Denver in July 2007. The guy I bought it from claimed that he had over $20,000 in the body, paint and interior. I can't back that up because he never produced any receipts. Since then I have completely rebuilt the rear end with all new parts including new alloy axles, new Auburn posi trac carrier, Trick Flow 10 ton cast aluminum cover with bearing carrier studs and Richmond 373 gears. It has a new (April 2010) 355ci Blueprint crate motor ordered from jegs that dynode @ 387 C_HP @ 5400 RPM and had 402 ft lbs of torque @ 4100 RPM. The motor came with a Comp hydraulic flat tappet cam, Patriot 2.02 aluminum heads with hardened retainers and valve springs, Hypereutectic pistons @ 10.0 to 1 compression ( made to run on pump gas) and an Edelbrock 600cfm electric chock carb. I added an Edelbrock aluminum Air Gap intake, Edelbrock fuel pump, Weiand water pump, ceramic coated Hooker competition headers, MSD distributor with street fire plug wires, a TCI Rattler vibration absorber and much more. I have put around 1000 miles on the motor and trans this summer with no problems. I ran Royal Purple engine and transmission oil in it with Comp break in additive. I also put a Hughes 2200-2500 torque converter in and had the transmission a (TURBO 350) tore down and gone thru at a local transmission shop. It also got a front end rebuild by Franks Alignment complete with new ball joints, control arm bushing, Billstein shocks all the way around, Hotchkis springs with a 3" drop in the front and stock replacment springs in the rear, tie rods etc. It’s also worth mentioning that the car is equipped with front disc’s and rear drums that all work great. I also have new front fender wells for the car from OPGI that I have not had time to put in they go with too. I have invested over $28,000 in this car.
