For Sale: 2008 Dodge Sprinter/ Custom Motorhome170ext. 34,500 miles Still under full factory warranty until 36,000/ March 2012. Power-train warranty until 100,000.
I purchased this as an empty cargo van in 2009 and me and my father proceeded to convert it to a full sleeper/ motorhome. This has been my baby for the last few years but I have come to terms with the fact that it 's just too big for my needs. Meticulously maintained with oil changes every 10k or sooner w/ all service performed at a certified service dealer. I just had a 40 point check-up performed and any issues were resolved from the dealer. They replaced fuel filter, back left pinion seal, leaking turbo hose and a full alignment was performed as well as two new tires put on the rear. I have all receipts and owners manuals for all "household" items(water heater, stove top, toilet, etc.) It is hard-wired for 120 v/30 amp campground hookup. Extra 12v battery, for a total of three, with a small 15 amp solar panel which helps keeps a charge for cell phones, computers and other small electronics.
The interior construction is simple to say the least, as I'm a firm believer of function over fashion, but no expenses were spared in the quality of appliances or fixtures. Pine was used for all framing of bed and cabinets, cabinet grade pine plywood for all doors and wall panels. The "walls" were insulated with 1 1/2" pink board and 1/4" reflective sound deadening all the way around, with a few cans of Great-stuff spray insulation for good measure. One thing to note though, the bed was built side to side as apposed to end to end in direction. For one to save space and the other is my wife and I are both 5'7" tall and fit just fine with legs straight out. However, and taller and you might have to sleep diagonal or just curled up a little.
